Safe At Last

I took the Everglades
and put it in my car.
I had to squeeze a bit
but home was not too far.

I put gators in the garden,
herons in the hall,
bobcats in the bedroom,
orchids on the wall.

Panthers in the playroom,
spoonbills in the sink,
ibis in the icebox.
What will Mother think?

I put sawgrass in the sunroom
and then I shut the door.
The Everglades is safe now.
I will not worry anymore!
